NAEEA+ project consortium releases its findings
From September 2022 to June 2024, the NAEEA+ consortium, coordinated by FEN, performed investigations into the need for external grid and system protection (NA protection) for solar PV converters in low-voltage grids
As every converter is already equipped with an internal NA protection function, the core question of the project is whether additional external NA protection is required.
Based on the joint work with four academic partners (ETHZ FEN, external page BFH, external page FHNW, external page TU Graz) and more than 20 industrial partners, recommendations were developed which can be found external page here.
The results will be taken into account in the revision of the VSE's "Industry recommendation for grid connection of energy generation plants to the low-voltage grid NA/EEA-NE7 - CH".
